Emergency services were called to Pease Street in Manunda around 4:30pm on Tuesday following reports a pedestrian had been seriously injured in a collision with a car. Multiple ambulance crews and police units rushed to the scene to find a woman with critical injuries.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics provided immediate advanced life support at the location before transporting the victim to Cairns Hospital. The woman was listed in a critical condition upon arrival at the hospital, where medical teams continued emergency treatment.
