Coffee with Casey: Unzipping Travel Secrets at Pagoda Resort
Coffee with Casey: Unzipping Travel Secrets at Pagoda Resort

With a swift pull of the zipper, Casey’s secrets were unveiled at Coffee with Casey, an exclusive event hosted at the Pagoda Resort and Spa in Como last week. Attendees were treated to a delightful morning tea served on tiered stands, with tables adorned in crisp linens and elegant cups, saucers, and plates. Some guests even extended their visit by staying overnight, turning the occasion into a full getaway.

Inside the Suitcase

The event featured Casey, a trusty suitcase whose contents have been meticulously refined over decades of travel. Guests received detailed notes listing every item packed inside. Among the highlights were Pacsafe locks with extendable cables—large ones ideal for securing luggage on trains when seats are far from racks, and smaller versions perfect for camera bags at street-side cafes. A toolkit included Kintsuglue, a versatile plastic-forming adhesive for quick repairs. The first aid kit contained tubular bandages (size F) and EDP powder. A DJI Nero drone was stored in a Decor 900ml flat plastic container. And for personal indulgence, a travel mug with Yorkshire tea bags was tucked inside—a luxury for the host.

Packing and Travel Discussions

Over two hours, the conversation covered packing strategies and general travel topics, with numerous questions answered. Despite the extensive contents, Casey weighs in at just 18 kilograms when fully loaded, a testament to years of fine-tuning.
