A man has sustained serious head injuries after falling three metres from a viewing platform onto concrete in Bellambi, on the New South Wales south coast.

Emergency services were called to Armour Street at Bellambi Point, near the wastewater treatment plant, around 12:15pm on Tuesday, May 5, following reports of the fall.
The man, believed to be aged 50, suffered head injuries and lacerations, and is suspected to have spinal damage.
Personnel from the State Emergency Service (SES), Fire and Rescue NSW, and NSW Police attended the scene alongside paramedics. The injured man was treated by paramedics before being placed on a stretcher, which was then carefully slid out of the area where he had fallen using a long ladder.
He was transported to Wollongong Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Separate incident in Windang
Around the same time, another man suffered leg and shoulder injuries after being struck by a car while riding an e-bike in Windang. The incident occurred near the intersection of Cedar and Oakland avenues.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene and later took him to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
These incidents come as emergency services continue to urge caution around public spaces and roadways.
