Police Shoot Man After Alleged Knife Threat in Logan Central Car Park
In a dramatic incident in Logan Central, south of Brisbane, a man was shot by police after allegedly climbing onto a car, damaging it, and threatening officers with a knife. Emergency services were called to a car park on Ewing Road at approximately 5:54 PM on Saturday, responding to reports of a knife-wielding individual causing property damage and making threats.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 27-year-old man on top of a white car that he had allegedly damaged. Footage from the scene shows the man wielding what appears to be a knife while on the vehicle. According to Logan District Detective Acting Inspector Jason Kitto, when police attempted to engage with him, the man approached officers with the weapon and made threats.
In response, police fired a single shot, critically injuring the man. The Queensland Ambulance Service reported that he was shot in the abdomen and was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition. As of Sunday, the man is in a stable but critical condition in hospital under police guard, with authorities planning to speak with him once he has recovered.
