Among the new citizens was Nadeeka Parana Manage, originally from Sri Lanka, who has resided in Australia for thirteen years. Nadeeka expressed that taking the citizenship pledge alongside her husband, Rasangeeth, and their five-year-old daughter, Hazel, felt particularly special and permanent.

"There's more of a sense of belonging and we feel grateful to be part of the Australian community," she shared. "This is such a beautiful country. It's so free, and everyone is so friendly and lovely."
