Alleged Stabbing Victim Films Desperate Plea for Help at Adelaide Home
A man allegedly stabbed in Adelaide's western suburbs has been captured on film desperately pounding on a stranger's front door while begging for assistance after fleeing a violent attack. The 32-year-old victim sprinted from a Netley service station down a side street on Wednesday afternoon before reaching a residence on Marion Road.
"I've been stabbed, please help me," the man screamed as he reached the property, according to eyewitness accounts. The terrified homeowner refused to let him inside but immediately contacted emergency services, prompting a swift police and paramedic response.
Trail of Blood Leads Through Multiple Properties
Investigations reveal the victim had earlier attempted to break into another home while searching for help, leaving a noticeable trail of blood throughout the property. Fortunately, residents were not present at the time of this desperate attempt to find safety.
Builders working at a nearby construction site reported seeing the injured man running for his life. "He just had bare feet and he looked like he just had a t-shirt or a scarf or something like that wrapped around his right leg," one worker told reporters. "Which probably like made me a little, I don't know, I just thought if his leg's bandaged up, he's still running pretty fast."
Crime scene investigators returned to the area on Thursday, collecting forensic evidence from multiple locations connected to the incident.
Attacker Allegedly Follows Ambulance to Hospital
South Australia Police allege the violence escalated further when the attacker—identified as a 27-year-old man from Victoria—followed the ambulance transporting the victim to Royal Adelaide Hospital. When the emergency vehicle arrived at the medical facility, the armed suspect allegedly attempted to force his way inside while brandishing a knife.
The attacker threatened emergency workers and tried to stab the victim a second time, according to police statements. Ambulance Employees Association spokesperson Paul Ekkelboom confirmed the dangerous situation, noting that staff managed to remove themselves from immediate danger and secure the patient inside the hospital.
No additional stabbing occurred during this confrontation, and no other individuals sustained injuries despite the threatening circumstances.
Police Arrest Suspect Following Freeway Pursuit
Police allege the suspect fled the hospital scene in a white Porsche with Victorian registration plates. Law enforcement officers tracked the vehicle to the South Eastern Freeway at Mount Osmond, where they discovered it stopped on the roadside and apprehended the man.
The 27-year-old has been charged with multiple offenses including assault, causing harm, and two counts of assaulting a prescribed emergency worker. Police refused bail for the accused, who did not make a bail application during his Thursday court appearance. The matter has been adjourned for a later date.
The 32-year-old stabbing victim received medical treatment at Royal Adelaide Hospital following the traumatic series of events that unfolded across Adelaide's western suburbs.
