The terrifying scene showed the two teenagers clinging to the rear of the bus by their fingertips as it travelled along the busy road. Witnesses reported the pair dragged their feet along the asphalt for approximately 250 metres, barely maintaining their grip while drivers behind the bus watched anxiously, fearing they could fall at any moment.
Transport Union Condemns "Lunatic" Behaviour
Tim Dawson, the Transport Workers Union WA Branch Secretary, expressed outrage at the teenagers' actions. "That's ridiculous. They are a couple of lunatics and they have no idea what risk they're putting themselves in," Dawson stated emphatically. He highlighted the additional stress such behaviour places on bus drivers who already contend with significant antisocial conduct.
The bus eventually stopped at a designated halt before Olga Road, where the boys dismounted and walked away from the scene. Authorities noted that the rear of the bus represents a blind spot, meaning the Public Transport Authority remained unaware of the dangerous stunt until media inquiries brought it to their attention.

The Public Transport Authority strongly condemned the behaviour, describing it as "incredibly dangerous" with potentially fatal consequences. "Behaviour like this is incredibly dangerous - one slip could lead to serious injury or death for the offenders," a spokesperson warned. The authority reiterated its zero-tolerance approach to violent or antisocial behaviour, emphasising that passenger and staff safety remains their paramount concern.
