Mother of accused double murderer charged

The mother of alleged double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has been charged by police with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Arrest and charges

Coleen Lamarre, 63, was arrested in Balmain, in Sydney’s inner west, at approximately 11:15am on Wednesday. Police allege she attempted to influence a key witness to change their evidence in a high-profile double murder trial. She was refused bail and is expected to appear before court on Thursday.

Background of the case

Beau Lamarre-Condon currently faces two counts of murder over the deaths of flight attendant Luke Davies, 29, and TV presenter Jesse Baird, 26, in February 2024. The former police officer is accused of shooting the couple at Baird’s home in Sydney’s east before bundling their bodies in surfboard bags and dumping them at a rural property. The bodies were discovered after Lamarre-Condon handed himself in.
