A tragic incident unfolded at Sydney Harbour late Monday night when a man in a wheelchair fell into the water and drowned. Emergency services were called to Towns Place Wharf in Millers Point at approximately 10:45 PM after reports of a person in the water.
Rescue Attempt
Police officers on scene immediately entered the water to retrieve the man. They managed to bring him to shore and commenced CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive. Despite their best efforts, the man could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
