Police are seeking public assistance following an incident in which two men allegedly mimicked using a firearm in a carpark at Bar Beach, Newcastle, on Friday afternoon.
Incident Details
Authorities were called to the Memorial Drive car park at approximately 5:50pm after reports of the pair simulating the use of a gun. The men departed the scene in a white Toyota Land Cruiser before police arrived.
Ongoing Investigation
As part of their inquiries, officers later spoke with a 23-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy at an address in Jesmond. Police have urged anyone who was in the vicinity at the time and may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to contact Newcastle Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are keen to identify the individuals involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
