Three homes have been targeted in suspected drive-by shootings overnight, with police investigating whether the incidents are linked. Emergency services were first called to a house on Clarence Street in Merrylands, Western Sydney, about 10:45 pm on Friday, following reports that shots had been fired.
A short time later, police were called to a second shooting just a block away on Lockwood Street, after reports that another home had been targeted. About 11:00 pm, officers were also called to a home on Monash Street in Wentworthville, approximately an eight-minute drive away, following reports of a third shooting.
Shots were fired into a house on Clarence Street, and a Lockwood Street home was also hit a short time later. No injuries have been reported. Police have been told that an unknown vehicle was seen outside each home before occupants fired several rounds into the properties.
Detectives are now hoping to speak with the driver of a white Hyundai sedan that was seen leaving the Wentworthville home around the time of the shooting. Crime scenes have been established at all three locations, and investigations are underway.
Anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage is urged to come forward.
