A dramatic police operation unfolded in the inner-west suburb of Newtown, Geelong, on Thursday afternoon, resulting in officers discharging their firearms and two individuals being taken into custody.
Stolen Vehicle Triggers Police Response
Victoria Police were alerted to the situation at approximately 3:50 PM after spotting an alleged stolen Kia Optima in the area. Officers immediately attempted to intercept the vehicle, which authorities claim then reversed into a bus in a dangerous manoeuvre.

In response, police discharged a firearm, causing the vehicle to collide with another car nearby.
