Australia Crush Bangladesh by 10 Wickets in ODI

Australia have thrashed Bangladesh by 10 wickets in a one-day international in Dhaka, with Mitchell Starc taking five wickets to set up a comfortable chase.

Starc's Five-Wicket Haul

The left-arm paceman finished with 5 for 19 as Bangladesh were bowled out for just 89 in 24.4 overs. Starc's devastating spell included three wickets in his first four overs, leaving the hosts reeling at 4 for 12.

Bangladesh's innings never recovered from that early collapse, with only three players reaching double figures. Najmul Hossain Shanto top-scored with 23, while captain Litton Das managed just 7.

Clinical Chase

In reply, Australia openers David Warner and Travis Head made light work of the target, reaching 90 without loss in 11.2 overs. Warner finished 48 not out off 38 balls, while Head was unbeaten on 42 from 30 deliveries.

The victory gives Australia a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, with the next game scheduled for Saturday in Chattogram.

Dominant Display

Australia's bowling attack was relentless, with Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa also picking up wickets. Hazlewood took 2 for 14, while Zampa claimed 2 for 18.

Bangladesh's batting lineup struggled against the pace and bounce of Starc and Hazlewood, as well as the spin of Zampa. The home side's highest partnership was just 26 for the seventh wicket.

Australia captain Pat Cummins praised his team's performance, saying: "That was a complete performance. The bowlers set it up beautifully, and the openers finished it off in style."

The series continues as Australia look to build on this dominant start against a Bangladesh side that will need to regroup quickly.
