Former West Coast Eagle Jack Petruccelle Welcomes First Child with Wife Montana
Former West Coast Eagles star Jack Petruccelle has announced the birth of his first child, a daughter named Rowe Jacqueline, with his partner Montana Bryan. The 26-year-old football player, who now competes for Subiaco in the WAFL after being delisted by West Coast in 2025, shared the joyful news on social media this week.
Social Media Announcement and Family Photos
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Petruccelle expressed his excitement, writing, "Welcome to the world, our little girl!" The post featured several heartwarming photos, including images of Rowe being held by Petruccelle and nursed by Bryan. Petruccelle humorously noted that his "dad strength" was now unlocked, but he added, "However, I will never be stronger than @montanabryan_, so proud of you throughout this whole journey and looking forward to the continued journey together."
Congratulations from Former Teammates
The announcement prompted an outpouring of congratulations from Petruccelle's former Eagles teammates. Oscar Allen, now with the Brisbane Lions, and his wife Lorna both sent well-wishes, with Allen saying, "How good!!! Congrats guys" and Lorna adding, "Amazing congratulations guys." Other players like Elliot Yeo, Brady Hough, Greg Clark, Josh Rotham, Zane Trew, and Jake Waterman also joined in to congratulate the happy couple.
Background and Upcoming WAFL Season
Rowe's birth follows Petruccelle and Bryan's engagement in February last year, marking a significant milestone in their relationship. Meanwhile, the WAFL season is set to begin soon, with the WAFLW starting on Saturday and the WAFL kicking off six days later. The opening day will feature matches including Peel Thunder versus East Fremantle in Mandurah on Friday, followed by Subiaco against East Perth at Sullivan Logistics Stadium with a 4.10pm start, and West Perth hosting Claremont in Joondalup at 3.30pm on Saturday.
Subiaco, Petruccelle's new team, is considered one of the biggest unknowns this season due to a wave of new recruits. These include former Richmond defender Jacob Blight, Petruccelle himself, and returning Bernie Naylor medallist Ben Sokol, adding intrigue to the upcoming matches.
