Just after 5:30am, a silver Toyota Camry sedan and a white Honda Accord sedan collided head-on at the intersection of Welshpool Road East and Orrong Road. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles.

The 21-year-old female driver of the Toyota and the 30-year-old male driver of the Honda both sustained serious injuries. Emergency services attended the scene, and both drivers were transported to Royal Perth Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
