WA Ballet's Incandescence Season at Quarry Amphitheatre
West Australian Ballet's beloved season under the stars at the Quarry Amphitheatre in City Beach returns with an exceptional program titled Incandescence. This year's production features four world premieres, uniting local WA artists with internationally celebrated choreographers. Among them is Tim Harbour, making his first return to Western Australia since 2009.
Artistic director Leanne Stojmenov describes the season as "a program rich in energy, striking contrasts, and exhilarating momentum." Running from February 6 to 28, this must-see experience continues to be a highlight of Perth's cultural calendar.
Rebel, Rebel: Perth Festival's Tribute to David Bowie
As part of the Perth Festival, a special one-night-only event on February 13 brings together Australian vocalists Katy Steele, Abbe May and Meow Meow with the Perth Symphony Orchestra to honour music icon David Bowie. The concert will showcase Bowie's biggest hits, from Life on Mars? to Let's Dance, interpreted through the soulful voice of May, the unique sound of Steele and the distinctive vocals of Meow Meow.

Local paramedic and jewellery designer Tania Hill is taking her brand, Tania Claire Australia, to Paris Fashion Week next month. Swapping emergency sirens for fashion spotlights, Hill will present a new collection inspired by the colours, textures and contrasts of Western Australia's coastline.
"For a long time, I lived in two very different worlds, responding to emergencies by day and quietly creating jewellery at night," Hill tells STM. "Creating jewellery became my way of restoring balance — a quiet, grounding practice after intense days." Her international showcase represents a significant achievement for Perth creative talent.
