Man critical after machete attack at Melton West McDonald's

A man in his 20s is fighting for life after a machete attack at a McDonald's car park in Melbourne's northwest. The incident occurred at the Melton West McDonald's about 11:50pm on Tuesday night.

Victims and injuries

The first victim, a man in his 20s, suffered critical injuries in the attack. A second man, also in his 20s, sustained serious stab wounds. Both were found on nearby McKenzie Street and taken to hospital for treatment.

Suspect in custody

A 22-year-old local man has since presented himself at a police station and remains in custody. Police have stated they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
