A man has been discovered deceased following a house fire in Sydney's southwest.
Fire at Bankstown home
Emergency services responded to reports of a blaze in the garage of a residence on Gardenia Avenue in Bankstown at approximately 4:45 PM on Sunday. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames before locating the body of a man inside the property.
The victim has not yet been formally identified, but authorities believe he was aged in his 60s. A crime scene has been established as investigations continue.

At this stage, police have indicated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. However, inquiries remain active to determine the cause of the fire and the exact circumstances leading to the man's death.
