Child dies in four-car crash in West Melbourne peak hour

A young girl has tragically died following a four-vehicle collision in West Melbourne during Wednesday's peak hour traffic. Emergency services rushed to Dynon Rd shortly before 4.30pm after reports of a serious crash involving four cars.

Fatalities and Injuries

The child, travelling in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of that car and another child were transported to hospital in critical condition. Two additional passengers—a woman and a child—were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics also assessed the drivers of the other three vehicles. Two men were hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV or dashcam footage, or possesses any relevant information to contact Crime Stoppers.
