Thirroul's Cucina Cafe Closes Due to Leaking Premises

Marina Golya-Scozza, owner of Cucina cafe in Thirroul, has announced the closure of her business due to ongoing premises issues. In a Facebook post, she stated that the cafe on Lawrence Hargrave Drive would close for the last time on Friday, April 10.

Ms Golya-Scozza cited leaking as a key problem, making the venue unsafe for staff and customers, particularly during rainy periods. She noted that the landlords had apparently operated from the premises for years while enduring these leaks, and she did not expect prompt resolution.

The decision was not made lightly, as the closure will result in job losses. Ms Golya-Scozza sought community assistance in identifying job opportunities for her team.
