The Hunter's building and construction elite gathered at NEX on October 18 for the highly anticipated 2025 HIA Hunter Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, where one company emerged as the undisputed champion of the evening.
A Clean Sweep for Taurean Dream
Butler Building secured the night's highest honour, taking home the coveted HIA Hunter Home of the Year award for their stunning project, 'Taurean Dream'. Industry judges described the winning home as "nothing short of a masterpiece", celebrating its innovative design and exceptional craftsmanship.
The victory was particularly impressive as the project faced strong competition from builders across the Central Coast, Hunter, and Mid Coast regions. The capacity audience witnessed Butler Building's remarkable achievement as 'Taurean Dream' collected an additional six category wins throughout the ceremony.
Multiple Award Categories Secured
The complete list of awards won by Butler Building for the 'Taurean Dream' project includes:
- Renovation/Addition Project of the Year

The success was shared with collaborating firms, with Mali White Design and Cutting Edge Joinery collecting five additional awards between them for their contributions to the landmark project.
