Man Charged with Murder After Easter Monday Stabbing on Central Coast

A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following an alleged stabbing on the New South Wales Central Coast on Easter Monday.

Emergency services were called to a property on Buff Point Avenue, about four kilometres south of Doyalson, at approximately 8pm after reports of an assault.

Police say two men who were known to each other had been fighting, which led to a 42-year-old man being stabbed. Paramedics treated the victim but could not revive him, and he died at the scene.

Braydon Abbott, 20, was arrested nearby and taken to Gosford Police Station, where he was later charged with murder. His case briefly went before a Bail Division Court today, where he was excused from appearing.
