A tiny Chihuahua named Winter has defied the odds after being struck by a vehicle on one of Canberra's busiest thoroughfares, emerging with only minor injuries and a remarkable tale of survival.
The Incident
The small canine, weighing less than two kilograms, was hit on Northbourne Avenue in the city's inner north on Tuesday morning. Witnesses reported seeing the dog darting across the road before a car struck it, sending the tiny animal tumbling across the asphalt.
