One Dead, Four Injured in Sydney Shooting; Police Hunt Two Suspects

A man has been killed and four others seriously injured in a shooting at a home in Canley Heights, Sydney's south-west. Police believe the attack is linked to organised crime.

The incident occurred around 8:20pm on Tuesday when two men entered the home and fired multiple gunshots. Five men were injured, and all were taken to hospitals in the area. The 28-year-old victim, identified as Alai Ahio, died from a gunshot wound at Liverpool Hospital. Sources say Ahio had links to the Western Sydney drill rap group OneFour.

Another man, aged 32, remains in stable condition with a neck injury. Two other men, aged 23 and 22, were taken to Fairfield Hospital in serious condition and later transferred. A 19-year-old man also presented to Liverpool Hospital with injuries and is in stable condition.

Police have established a crime scene at the Canley Heights home. Detective Superintendent Craig Middleton said the five victims were known to each other, and the attack was targeted. CCTV footage shows flashes from inside the garage and a large police response.

Authorities are searching for two men who fled the scene in a white SUV. Taskforce Falcon, a specialist unit set up to target gangland conflict, is involved in the investigation. Superintendent Middleton described the incident as a 'brazen, violent attack' and urged anyone with information to come forward.
