Two Men Shot in Suspected Targeted Attack in Belconnen

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after two men were shot while driving through Belconnen in the early hours of Anzac Day, in what police believe was a targeted attack.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the men were travelling in a vehicle along College Street about 2:50am on April 25, 2026, when they were shot. The men later drove themselves to hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting was reported to police shortly afterwards and an investigation was launched. "At this time, it is believed this shooting was a targeted incident," the ACT Policing spokesperson said.

Detectives are now seeking witnesses, CCTV and dashcam footage that captured any suspicious activity on or near College Street, near Benjamin Way, shortly before or after 2:50am on Anzac Day. Anyone who has information or dashcam footage is urged to provide their contact details to Crime Stoppers through the Crime Stoppers ACT website, quoting reference 8367351.
