The Western Force have officially stepped into a new era, unveiling their playing kits for the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season in partnership with global sportswear giant New Balance.
The landmark reveal, held on Thursday, 27 November 2025, signals the start of a fresh chapter for the Perth-based club, moving on from their previous apparel supplier, Dynasty Sport.
A Nod to Heritage with a Modern Twist
The new designs masterfully blend the club's rich history with contemporary elements. The iconic Maali black swan logo takes centre stage on both the home and away jerseys, a deliberate move to elevate the club's primary symbol.
In a shift from the periwinkle blue worn during their 20th-anniversary celebrations in 2025, the home kit makes a powerful return to the club's traditional royal blue palette. The away jersey, however, introduces a bold change, dominated by a gold-yellow hue and complemented by navy blue sleeves, a feature consistent across both shirts.
A subtle collar, which proved to be a hit with fans on the special edition jersey worn against the British and Irish Lions in June, has been retained for the 2026 season.
More Than Just a Jersey
Force chief executive Niamh O'Connor emphasised that the new kit is a reflection of the club's identity and deep connection to Western Australia. "One of the things that makes this club special is how deeply connected we are to WA," O'Connor stated. "It's a unique pride of grit, determination, humility and being fiercely loyal."
She explained that the decision to remove the lettering from the club logo on the chest was part of a wider initiative to champion the Maali badge. "We've also elevated the Maali right through the design. For us, it's more than a mark, it's becoming the symbol of who we are and what we stand for as a club," O'Connor said.
The players, including Michaela Leonard, Darcy Swain, Brandon Paenga-Amosa, and Alapeta Ngauamo, who modelled the new attire, represent the squad ready to don the fresh look in the 2026 campaign.
Forging Ahead in 2026
O'Connor framed the jersey launch as a key piece in the club's long-term ambitions. "The 2026 season is a year to forge ahead and take a meaningful step forward," she declared. "This jersey is just one piece of a much bigger journey, but it reflects our long-term ambition to be leaders in WA on the national and international stage."
With the new New Balance partnership now in full swing, the Western Force are visually and symbolically geared up for the challenges and opportunities that the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season will bring.
