Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married. The couple hosted their wedding celebration on Friday in New York City, nearly three years after first meeting.

According to a Swift spokesperson, the ceremony took place at Madison Square Garden in midtown Manhattan, with Adam Sandler officiating. Screens outside the venue displayed a celebratory message around 7:20 p.m. local time: “JUST&T MARRIED!”
“Taylor + Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man,” the spokesperson said. “The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
Both Swift and Kelce wore Christian Dior couture designed by Jonathan Anderson. Swift also wore Cartier jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes, the same designer who created most of the footwear for her Eras Tour.
Celebrity Attendees and Security
An array of celebrities were seen arriving at the venue, including Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Hugh Grant, Bradley Cooper, Ethan Hawke, Jack Antonoff, and NFL stars Cooper Kupp and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Close members of Swift’s inner circle, including publicist Tree Paine and childhood best friend Abigail Anderson Berard, were also spotted.
Stevie Nicks, whom Swift has cited as a mentor, was reportedly slated to perform at the celebration. Permits obtained by media outlets indicated as many as 1,000 guests were in attendance.
Security was tight around the arena, with many nearby streets closed to vehicular traffic. Hordes of fans gathered near the venue, braving sweltering heat. “It’s nice that she is doing it here and connecting with her life in New York because it’s so special to her,” said Gray O’Sullivan, an 18-year-old fan.
The Empire State Building was illuminated in “light blue sparkle” to honor the occasion.
Relationship Timeline
Swift and Kelce first connected in 2023. Kelce attended Swift’s show at Arrowhead Stadium on July 8, 2023, but they did not meet that night. On his podcast New Heights, he said, “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.” He had made her a friendship bracelet.
In Swift’s Disney+ documentary The End of an Era, her mother Andrea Swift revealed she encouraged the meeting after seeing Kelce’s podcast clip go viral. “I call up my resident expert on the Kansas City Chiefs, my cousin Robin, and I go, ‘Tell me about this guy named Travis Kelce,’” Andrea said.
Swift later told Time magazine that they met quietly shortly after he attended her show and began courting out of the public eye. In September 2023, Swift attended one of Kelce’s games at Arrowhead, and they were spotted leaving together.

After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl on February 11, 2024, Swift joined Kelce on the field. Two months later, she released The Tortured Poets Department, which included love songs about Kelce with football references. In June 2024, Kelce joined Swift on stage at Wembley Stadium during her Eras show.
In August 2025, Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl on Kelce’s podcast. Not long after, they announced their engagement. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” she wrote in a caption of a photo carousel.
