Emilie Kiser Pregnant 14 Months After Son's Drowning

American lifestyle influencer Emilie Kiser has announced she is pregnant, 14 months after her firstborn son Trigg drowned in the family's backyard pool. The 27-year-old content creator, with over 7 million followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, shared the news this week as she continues to grieve the loss of her toddler.

Details of the Tragedy

Trigg, aged three, died on May 18, 2025, after falling into the unfenced pool at the family's Arizona home while Kiser was out for dinner. Her husband Brady was watching Trigg and their younger son Teddy, now one year old. The drowning occurred when the pool's net-like cover had been removed for a scheduled clean the next day. Trigg died in hospital six days later.

According to a Chandler Police Department incident report, Brady initially told police he had lost sight of his son for three to five minutes before discovering him in the water. However, video evidence later showed Trigg was unsupervised for over nine minutes and in the water for about seven minutes. Police recommended charges of felony child abuse against Brady, but authorities declined, citing no "reasonable likelihood of a conviction."

Pregnancy Announcement

Kiser expressed gratitude and excitement in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of her baby bump. "This news feels very surreal and has already been such a bright light to us during some of our darkest days," she wrote. She noted that after Trigg's death, she had decided to become more private on social media to protect her family's privacy.

"As I stated last year, my family's privacy will always be my priority. Because of that, I'm not sure how much I will be sharing about this pregnancy and next phase of life, but I appreciate your understanding as I navigate those boundaries," she continued. "This baby has already brought so much hope and joy into our home, and we are treasuring every moment of it together."

Forgiveness and Healing

In her first interview since Trigg's death, Kiser opened up on the On Purpose podcast with Jay Shetty about forgiving Brady and considering ending their marriage. She said she eventually forgave him through empathy and realizing it could have been her in his position.

"This could have just as easily been me in Brady's position. Brady was taking care of our newborn child. When I left for dinner that night, he was de-thawing my breast milk, trying to get Teddy settled, a 5-week-old baby," she said. "That doesn't excuse anything. It doesn't excuse what happened. It doesn't excuse any of the series of events after that. But taking that accountability, along with all the other things I know I could have changed, gave me so much true, deep, real, raw empathy for him of, this could have been me."

She added, "He's going through so much as well, and we are the only two people that can understand at all what the other person is going through."
